Anupama Raju is a poet, literary journalist, communications professional and translator. She is the author of Nine, a poetry collection.

She has been featured in several poetry anthologies including the Harper Collins Book of English Poetry, Lekhana, Yellow Nib Modern English Poetry by Indians, Hibiscus, Ten – The New Indian Poets, etc. Her poetry has appeared in Scroll, The Hindu, The Caravan, The Little Magazine, Indian Literature, Poetry at Sangam, Mint Lounge, Pratilipi, among others. She has been translating Malayalam writer Paul Zacharia’s short stories into English. As a freelance contributor and columnist, she writes for The Hindu and Scroll.

Anupama was Charles Wallace Fellow at University of Kent, 2017 and Writer-in-Residence at Le Centre Intermondes, La Rochelle, 2012.

She has collaborated with French photographer Pascal Bernard on Indo-French poetry and photography projects ‘Surfaces and Depths’, (2012-2013) and ‘Une Ville, Un Lieu, Une Personne’ (2011-2012). Supported by the Alliance Française network in India (Pondicherry and Trivandrum) and Le Centre Intermondes, La Rochelle, their work has been exhibited extensively in India and France.

Anupama has read at the Jaipur Literature Festival, Hay Festival India, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Bangalore Literature Festival, The Hindu Lit for Life, Poetry with Prakriti, Hyderabad Literature Festival, Mathrubhumi Festival of Letters, among others.

She lives in India, and heads internal communications globally for a US-based technology services company.
